With Mother’s Day fast approaching, many find themselves scrambling at the last minute to pull together a cute and thoughtful gift for their momma. Let Glik’s ease your stress with our DIY Homemade Foot Scrub Recipe that we incorporated into a foot pampering gift basket for any woman. Unique and thoughtful, who wouldn’t love these cute ideas for Mother’s Day this year?
What you will need for the DIY Foot Scrub:
- ½ Cup Raw Sugar
- ½ Cup Epsom Salt
- ⅓ Cup Body and Bath Oil
Gift Basket Ideas:
- Wicker Basket
- Ribbon or Bow Décor for Handle
- Decorative Tissue Paper
- Pedicure Kit
- Nail Polish and Remover
- Half Pint Ball Mason Jars
To start, measure out your Epsom salt and raw sugar into a bowl.
After you have the Epsom salt and raw sugar in the bowl, stir in the oil until the mixture is evenly mixed.
Pour the contents into a half-pint mason jar and screw on the lid. This recipe yields two jars, not quite full.
Feel free to decorate the tops of the jars with coordinating fabric that will tie into your gift basket design. I embroidered mine with a monogram for an extra special touch.
Once you have your homemade foot scrub made, you can begin putting your Mother’s Day Gift Basket together. To go along with the foot pampering, I included a pedicure kit, nail file, and nail polish/remover. I added in a cute pair of Fashion Sandals and a Natural Life wooden sign for a personal touch.

At last, you can tie a bow to the top of the basket handle and start organizing your items over a bed of decorative tissue paper.
Ta-da! Here is your finished DIY gift idea that every women—mother or not—will love!
