Friday May 2nd, 2014 kicked off the 85th Annual Tulip Time Festival as well as the Grand Opening of Glik’s first ever men’s only store. What better time to celebrate a historical first for the company than with Holland’s grand festivities. The Holland, Michigan area prides itself on the staggering 6 million tulips that are planted throughout the community and bloom every spring in bursts of every color of the rainbow.
The former Glik’s store in Holland sold both men’s and women’s merchandise, but on May 2nd at 10:00 am, reopened its doors as the first ever, exclusively men’s store in the company. Vice President and Head Men’s Buyer, Jim Glik and his team are excited about the evolution in the men’s business and the grand opening of the men’s clothing store, Glik’s Men’s Shop.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Glik’s Men’s Shop was at 9:45 am with Mr. Glik, Jeff Glik, and Jim Glik in attendance. The community embraced the event, as there were several local merchants and the Holland Chamber of Commerce in attendance alongside customers. Both of the $117 ribbons from Glik’s Men’s Shop and the woman’s store, Glik’s Boutique, were donated to the Holland Chamber of Commerce and the Holland Tulip Time Festival Fund equally.
Glik’s Men’s Shop offers a collection of brands that will make shopping for men’s fashion unique in Holland. With more men seeking a fresh spin on style, age is of no consequence. Glik’s Men’s Shop carries casual sportswear and footwear that embodies the Michigan lifestyle and effectively caters to the 18 to 45 year old consumer.
The store carries an assortment of young and mature men’s styles including surf, active, outdoor, and southern prep. With brands like Vineyard Vines, Johnnie-O, Southern Marsh, Quiksilver Waterman’s Collection, Hurley, Captain Fin, Under Armour, our exclusive 1897 house brand, and more, there is undoubtedly something for everyone.
The Glik’s team worked hard to open our two Holland, Michigan stores in a short amount of time.
