Last week our Highland, IL store location hosted Element Eden Advocates, Molly Thompson and Lauren Parsekian, co-founders of the Kind Campaign.
The Kind Campaign is a non-profit organization whose main objective is to educate and confront the negative effects of bullying between females. Lauren and Molly, both affected by female bullying at younger ages, created the Kind Campaign as both a documentary and non-profit while attending Pepperdine University as film majors in 2009.
Later entitled Finding Kind, the documentary featured Lauren and Molly on a roadtrip across America with their mothers seeking to expose the reason behind why women are mean to other women. Since the Kind Campaign’s start in 2009, the girls have embarked on three national tours to schools across America.
After meeting the lovely ladies of the Kind Campaign, Element Eden decided to join in their grassroots movement by adding the non-profit to their official advocates list for the brand.
The Element & Kind Campaign Trunk Show Series made their first stop at the Highland, IL Glik’s store location last Wednesday, April 17th. The evening was filled with D.I.Y crafts, goody bags, a preview of Element Eden’s fall 2013 collection, and a (super fun) styling competition! The very next day, the ladies paid a visit to Highland High School for an assembly and screening of their Finding Kind documentary.
