Patagonia is an awesome brand that makes clothes that will last a number of years all while trying to reduce their environmental impact. It makes sense to invest in a piece that will fit you as well as their products will last. Have you been looking at making a Patagonia purchase and you’ve been trying to figure out what size would look best on you? Then keep reading!
While there are many different styles of Patagonia (ex: Los Gatos vest, Synchilla Pullover, Better Sweater, etc) there is only 4 different types of fit for these garments. The four fits are; formfitting, slim fit, regular fit, and relaxed fit. From these four categories we can begin to really figure out which size is the best for you.
Form Fit: The garment should hug your body. These are ideal fit for base layer pieces.
Slim Fit: Should show off your body type but with enough room that you could throw a base layer underneath comfortably.
Regular Fit: This should fit a little looser. You should have enough room under these types of styles to wear a heavier base layer comfortably.
Relaxed Fit: With this style of fit you should have a lot of room and should be able to layer quite a bit under these garments.

Most of our Patagonia that we carry at Glik’s is going to be either regular or slim fit. For the most true to size fit for those pieces you should try to order the size that typically works best for you. If you are confused about what your true size may be, refer to the chart above. You can take your own chest, waist, and hip measurements to see what size would be best!
In the photos below you can see our model wearing a size small and a size medium of the Slim Fit ¼ Better Sweater Fleece Pullover. If you are wanting more of a looser fit on items that are label as Slim Fit, try sizing up for more of that Regular Fit. But on her true size (small) the garment is a little form fitting but still loose enough that she could add layers underneath.

These also fit true to size with more room to add some layers slightly heavier base layers underneath for chilly winter time adventures.
