Military. It’s a trend. Camo prints, structured garments, army green hues, utility jackets… I know, I know, it still feels like summer, and I bet your air conditioners are still running at the same rate mine is (which is like nonstop). But if media has its way, as it always does, then your mailboxes are bursting with September style magazine issues and the models will be walking the runways at New York Fashion Week already clad in Spring 2014’s trends! Oh wait!!! This blog post is still supposed to talk about fall’s latest take on military. Rewind.
Regardless of the weather, sweaters, jackets and boots are always a must-have for fall, and it’s never too early (nor late) to immerse yourself into all the fashion magazines and style blogs for inspiration. So here is fashion’s latest take on military and how to wear fall’s current color trend army green.
Jackets.
The military jacket is a pretty literal take on the military trend, but this army green jacket will prove to be one of the most versatile items in your closet. Wear it over sweaters, tees, and even chiffon blouses paired with jeans, faux leather accented pants and colored denim. I’m a huge fan of throwing it over a black dress and adding sneakers for a casual street style look. You can also do a faux leather skirt with fun graphic tee, sneaks and bib necklace combo for an awesome look (my personal favorite).

Bottoms.
Army green is the new neutral for fall 2013. You can pair this hue with virtually anything. Whether it’s tailored pants, skinny denim, or cargo style, there is an army green colored bottom to fit any body type. Dress you army green up with a pair of heels, edge it out with combat boots, or dress it down with sneakers and fashion flats.

Accessories.
We all know that the easiest and cheapest way to work a trend into our wardrobes is to go by way of the accessory dept. Any army green scarf, hat, purse, pair of socks and shoes would be an easy and budget friendly addition to your wardrobe.
