I’m not sure about you, but as soon as the holidays are over, I am ready for spring. I cannot wait to see what the newest trends and colors are for spring in clothing, shoes, accessories and of course, makeup.
Every year the Pantone Color Institute selects a color of the year. For 2016, they chose 2 colors: Rose Quartz and Serenity.
“Joined together Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and place”. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute.
I must say, both colors are beautiful and will easily pair with so many other colors.
In the coming months, you’ll see the Pantone Spring 2016 Colors have a huge impact on what you see in stores. Here are a few pieces we love right now that are inspired by these beautiful colors:
Piko Three Quarter Sleeve Tunic Dress in Nude. If you haven’t jumped on the Piko bandwagon, now is the time. This Piko is basically the perfect top. It is oversized and can be worn with skinny jeans or leggings. Since its nude in color, you can pair it with the Limited Edition Sephora + Pantone Universe Modern Watercolors Eye Palette for a pop of color.
CC Beanies. Yes it’s going to be spring before we know it, but we still need to wear our beanies to keep us warm in the last few months of winter. If you are tired of your basic black beanie, try a new color: Ivory, Taupe, Beige, Melange Grey, Sea Foam, Rose, and Indie Pink. Painting your nails with a spring color will also help get you through the next 3 months of winter. Here are a few of my favorite shades for spring and they happen to be similar shades of Rose Quartz and Serenity. They will even match your new CC Beanie! Pillow Pie by Smith & Cult, Tra-La-La by Dior, Pret a Surfer by Essie, and Blue Orchid by Deborah Lippmann.
Lovestitch Carys Fringed Shawl Sweater in Indigo Blue. This sweater was a favorite for Fall/Winter 2015 and will still be a favorite for Spring 2016. One of the newest colors is Indigo Blue. This is a versatile color that looks good on just about everyone. This shawl sweater looks great when worn with skinny jeans and your favorite booties. Add Sephora + Pantone Universe Color of the Year Layer Lipstick in Rose Quartz to finish off your look. This lip color looks great layered or mixed with other shades.
The North Face Trivert Logo Pullover Hoodie. This hoodie comes in Raspberry Rose Heather, Coastline Blue Heather and Radiant Orange/Mid Grey to brighten up your dreary winter days. They have double layered hoods that keep you cozy warm, but the hoodie itself is lightweight and breathable. Throw on your fleece lined leggings and some lipgloss (Try Enamored Hi-Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer Lipgloss in Moonglow by Marc Jacobs) and you will be ready for a little post holiday shopping or just hanging at your favorite coffee shop.
How will you style the Pantone Spring 2016 Colors?
