Clinton State Park offers a variety of services and amenities for everyone in the family to enjoy, year round.  The 1500-acre state park is perfect for outdoor activities and offers multiple campsites for visitors to use and enjoy.  The 50-foot tall concrete teepee off US Highway 24 is the remainder, and former centerpiece, of an Indian Village.  The village previously accompanied a gas station, restaurant, and motor court that were made up of smaller teepee cabins.

Breakout Lawrence offers four different escape rooms set with different themes for you to choose from.  Since it is located in the heart of downtown and near Glik’s, this escape room is the perfect stop along your visit!  Next stop on the list is The Granada Theater.  The venue is home to various events and entertainment, including live music for all ages!

Things To Do:

While you are continuing along Massachusetts Street, make sure to take a look around at the historic designed buildings, some dating back to the 1800s.  Mass. Street is packed with restaurants and vendors to suit everyone’s needs and cravings, so why not try the 23rd Street Brewery!  This microbrewery is a perfect place to catch up on your favorite sports games while trying one of their ten beers on draft that are rotated seasonally.

Good Eats:

With over 40 different restaurants and cafes to choose from downtown, there is something to curb any appetite.  Zen Zero is an Asian cuisine that focuses and specializes in noodles and soups.  The Burger Stand offers American cuisine featuring burgers, hot dogs, and salads!

The University of Kansas:

The University of Kansas is located less than ten minutes away from Mass. Street. Visitors can enjoy the environment by simply walking around campus and seeing what it has to offer! The KU Natural History Museum features live-animal exhibits as well as displays of fossils and Kansas wildlife.  If you are a fan of sports, the Booth Family Hall of Athletics is located within Allen Fieldhouse on the campus of KU.  The hall honors the history and traditions of KU’s athletic programs, its coaches, and student-athletes, both past and present.
