What to Wear for Valentine’s Day: Outfit Ideas
Valentine’s day, you either love it or hate it (for whatever reason). This day is meant to be spent full of love and laughter with family and friends. Chocolate covered strawberries, funny yet meaningful Valentine’s cards, conversation hearts, roses, and everything splattered with red and pink hues are the general thoughts that come to mind when you think of Valentine’s Day! But, have you given much thought as to what new clothes you are going to buy for this day?! Whether you have a big romantic date planned or some non-negotiable plans with Netflix, takeout, and your couch, do not forget to find the perfect outfit! The best part – these looks are perfect for Spring-time so you don’t have to worry about investing in an outfit that you’ll only wear once a year in February.
Pretty Polka Dots
Jumpsuits are up trending in 2019 because they are SO versatile. We just got in this sweet polka dot midi jumpsuit from Everly Clothing and it just gives us good feelings. The black and white coloring allows you to wear this from the office to date night. Since the weather is still on the cold side, we threw on a chunky chenille sweater from Miracle over the top! Layering jumpsuits is a great way to transition your wardrobe from winter to spring. To dress this look up, we paired it with a basic black heel – but sneakers or sandals would look just as cute!
Sweet Styles
This look is the epitome of Spring fashion! We love everything about this outfit since you can wear all of the pieces individually and mix & match the clothes you already have stocked in your closet. It is finally time to break out the white denim, so go ahead and invest in a quality pair from KanCan Jeans. A simple lightweight sweater with darling shoulder details, like this number from Elan Clothing, kicks this look up a notch! If you get cold, simply throw on a classic jean jacket and you’re all set. Add some sparkle to this #ootd by accessorizing with a long necklace, statement earrings, or even a wide-brimmed hat!
Romantic Ruffles
If you’re ready to wear dresses all the time (in an attempt to avoid actually wearing pants) say I? IIIIIIIIII This romantic wrap dress has a great silhouette with an adjustable tie waist and appropriate v-neckline. The soft colors included in the striped design give just enough pop while not becoming overbearing. These photos do not do this Lush Clothing dress justice! If you are worried about being too chilly, throw on a cardigan or denim jacket over the top or opt for over the knee boots instead of heels or wedges!
Classic Combo
This last look can definitely be modified to suit your individual style, but we can’t get enough of a good basic look. This simple outfit still screams elegance and style due to the shoulder detail and choker neckline look, without the bold “Valentine’s Day” colors. Miracle Clothing has amazing sweaters for year-round style and we can’t get enough. We paired the trendy sweater with a pair of distressed denim jeans from KanCan and the same neutral block heels from earlier. Style tip: front tuck your sweater to accentuate and slim your waistline while showing off your trendy belt buckle!
