Hello everyone! We hope that most of you have settled into your new routine of social distancing and finding new norms. And hopefully some of you have headed back to the office and getting ready to head back to school, too. So, like most of you, after we were done Marie-Kondo-ing our closet, completing DIY projects, and whipping up new recipes, we have spent a lot of time scrounging around each of our streaming sites to discover what we have yet to watch! (We're talking to you Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon) We decided to put together a quick list of tv shows that we are streaming right now, most of which we have gathered inspiration from.
Here's what we're watching rn:
The Bold Type (Hulu)
Ok so, listen up ladies. Inspired by the life of "Cosmopolitan" editor in chief, The Bold Type is highly underrated and follows all things fashion, friendship, relationships, and navigating life in your 20s. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a feel-good show to watch!
Outer Banks (Netflix)
As you probably know, this show is all the rage right now-- it's even driving sales on some of our super popular graphic tees. Outer Banks is the show of the summer; featuring a group of teens who have their differences and stumble upon a treasure map. Definitely a plot twist you would have never suspected!
The Last Dance (Netflix)
This mini-series is definitely filling our void of lack of live collegiate and professional sports this year (sad). This show charts the rise of the 1990s Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan as their lead.
Selling Sunset (Netflix)
If you're a fan of reality tv shows + HGTV, you'll be sure to love Selling Sunset! This show follows elite real estate brokers in L.A. and gives you a glimpse inside the luxe life of millionaires' home-buying and selling processes. You will be amazed by all of the inside looks of homes and their unique features all while keeping up with the drama.
The Babysitters Club (Netflix)
Us 90s babies are SCREAMING at the release of this reboot. Based on the best-selling book series, this show focuses on a group of young girls who start their own babysitting service. It definitely brings you back to the time you were reading the books for the very first time and gives you all the good vibes.
Mrs. America (Hulu)
This mini-series is sure to cause a fire to light within you. Spotlighting an activist in the 1970s, this show takes you on a journey through the fight of the Equal Rights Amendment and women's empowerment. Keep an open mind while watching this series and you will definitely learn some things you can apply to your every day life!
Next in Fashion (Netflix)
Hosted by Queer Eye's Tan France, this show is a new take on a fashion designers competition! Designers are competing for a cash prize as well as the opportunity to launch their own fashion line. We love a good competition show featuring a whole bunch of creativity, laughs, and pizzazz.
Girlboss (Netflix)
Based on the true story of Nasty Gal's founder, this show follows the life of a woman who discovers a passion for fashion and becomes an unlikely businesswoman in the process. This series is great for learning how to showcase independence and working hard to reach your goals truly pays off!
Hopefully there's at least a couple of these shows you haven't seen yet, so you can go right ahead and start binge-watching them now! Let us know what your favorite show you've discovered during quarantine is!
